Dignitas is a professional esports organization based in Newark, New Jersey, founded in September 2003, when 2 Battlefield 1942 clans merged.

Led by British team captain James “Bakery” Baker, the team made it to the Grand Finals of the 2015 Heroes of the Storm World Championship, and went on to win 4 of the 5 European Championships in 2016.

The team continued great form in 2017, winning the first international competition of the year at IEM Katowice, and taking home another Silver medal in the mid-season World Championship.

The organization is known for housing Counter-Strike lineups since the early years of the game. It has housed numerous lineups in all three mainstream Counter-Strike games. Prior to the rebrand in late 2018, Team Dignitas was founded in the United Kingdom.

Team Dignitas acquired the roster of Rock Solid in September 2011. At the time, the roster included Voyboy, Jatt, scarra, imaqtpie, and L0cust, and they had recently had several strong online finishes. After being rejected as a franchise partner for the NA LCS in 2017, Dignitas returned to League of Legends in 2019 by acquiring Clutch Gaming. With Dignitas’ coaching, Clutch climbed from ninth place at the end of the 2019 LCS Spring Season to qualifying for Worlds 2019 as North America’s third seed. The team is set to compete under the Dignitas’ banner in 2020.
