Excel Esports Overview
Excel esports is a UK-based esports organisations with active rosters in League of Legends and Rocket League. It was formed in late 2014 and in 2018 it was confirmed as one of the ten franchise partners participating in the newly rebranded League of Legends European Championship (LEC). The org’s headquarters – also called the XLHQ – is the Twickenham Stadium.
In addition to their main rosters, the British org is also home to a junior team called Excel Academy and to a women-only rosters activating under Excel Ladies.
Among Excel partners we count HyperX, Belong, Raven, Chillblast. 2019 wasn’t the best year for the League of Legends team, the roster finishing last in the LEC Summer 2019 with 14 defeats and only 4 victories under their belt an even weaker performance than in the Spring split when they managed to finish 9th.
