G2 Esports Overview
G2 Esports is one of the top esports organizations in Europe. Founded by legendary League of Legends player Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, and veteran esports entrepreneur and investor, Jens Hilger in 2013, G2 has several offices across the world and today is home to 50 players spread across 11 esports teams.
The G2 Esports organization includes CSGO, League of Legends, Rocket League, PUBG, Apex Legendes, Rainbow 6 rosters that are always among the tournament favourites. In League of Legends they are the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational Champions beating SK Telecom T1 and Team Liquid and the LEC Spring 2019 Champions. The G2 Rainbow 6 team won the Six Invitational 2019 tournament taking home 800,000 US dollars as a prize.
Outside the competitive scene, G2 Esports is involved in producing esports-related content including a a reality show on MTV Spain called “GAMERS”, and an original online content series called “Making The Squad”. As most organizations today, G2 offers their fans a branded line of clothing and accessories in their own online shop.
G2 is sponsored by Logitech, AOC, Aorus, paysafecard, NEEDforSEAT, and Twitch and managed to win over $6M USD from esports tournaments to date.
