Griffin Overview
Griffin is an esports organization based in South Korea active in League of Legends, Overwatch and PUBG. Its LOL roster competes in the LCK – the highest professional LOL League in the country, and although it’s only been active since 2017, it managed to win a couple of big tournaments including a regional Rift Rivals event. Additionally, in 2018 they won the KeSPA Cup and the LCK Summer 2018 promotion match after finishing the LOL Challengers league undefeated.
Its Overwatch team was born in 2019 from the previously KongDoo Panthera roster while the PUBG team is a rebrand of Team Kongdoo. None of the teams achieved any major results during the last 12 months.
Team Griffin is currently owned by Still8 Entertainment one of the leading Korean companies in esports and counts as its sponsors brands such as Corsair, Douyu, and SUITSUIT. The majority of their earnings – over $300,000 – were generated by their LOL team.
