HellRaisers Overview
HellRaisers is an Ukrainian esports organization formed in 2014 around the previous CSGO roster of Astana Dragons. It currently fields teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and Hearthstone.
HellRaisers was born over 5 years ago when former Astana Dragons players AdreN, ANGE1, Dosia, markeloff, kucher decided to part their ways with their Kazakhstan-based organization after a disappointing string of tournaments.
With a new roster that included at one point s1mple – now considered one of the best CSGO players in the world, HellRaisers took part in the EMS One in Katowice where they manage to finish 6th, surpassing teams such as Fnatic or Natus Vincere. In the following years the team managed to win a series of medium-tier tournaments but resurfaced among the top teams in the world in 2017 when they managed to win the Bets.net Masters: Season 1, the CIS Minor Championship – London 2018 and finish second in the DreamHack Open Tours 2018. In 2019 they managed to reach the Finals of the ESL Pro League Season 9 but finished 11th.
In Dota 2, they managed a qualification in The International 2017 but disappeared from the scene in 2018. In 2019, they returned with a new roster and qualified for the Dota Summit Major where they finished 3rd, earning over $50,000 in prizes.
