Schalke 04 Esports Overview
Schalke 04 Esports, sometimes abbreviated S04, is the esports team division of German sports club FC Schalke 04. It was founded in 2016 after the sports club acquired the seed and roster of Elements.
Schalke 04 is mostly known for its League of Legends team, playing the LEC league, but the organization is also fielding players in FIFA and PES. In the LOL European Championship, Schalke 04 always performed well, in 2019 the roster finishing third in the Summer split. The org also runs an LOL roster in the Premier Tour – a competition for the German-speaking market.
S04 virtual football players manage to win the national ESL Championship, the German Championship of the virtual Bundesliga and the European Championship. Furthermore, the Royal Blues is the runner-up of the FIFA Club World Cup.
