GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 takes place in early March on Dubai Studio City venue. The Dota 2 competition is offline, with live audience and a total of 10 pro teams.
This event is organized by Galaxy Racer, and this year’s sponsor is News Media Academy.
Schedule and Prize Pool
The Invitational takes place in 4 consecutive days, from 2nd of March until 6th March.
GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 will have a prize pool of ≃ $272,482 USD. The sharing of the prize pool will be announced soon.
Format
The format is almost identical to other big Dota 2 competitions, and it has: the Group Stage, play-in and play-offs.
Group Stage
The Group Stage is a round-robin with 2 groups of five teams. All matches are played in a Bo1 manner.
- Winner and runner-up of each group advance to the upper bracket of the play-offs
- 3rd and 4th placed teams advance to play-in stage
- Bottom team of each group has to leave the championship
Play-In
The play-in is a single elimination bracket with Bo3 matches.
- Winner advance to the lower bracket of the play-offs
- Loser of each match leaves the competition
Play-offs
Playoffs have all the matches, except the Grand Final, also played in a Bo3 format. The Grand Final is a Bo5.
