Liga Latinoamerica (LLA) 2022 Overview
Tournament Overview
Eight teams participate this year at League of Legends‘ LLA 2022 Opening. They compete for a prize of $53,500 USD and the chance to prove themselves at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The competition will take place in Mexico City as a LAN event.
Totalplay, COUGAR Gaming, Red Bull, Warner Music, Puma, STRIB, Xzeal, AB InBev are the sponsors for Liga Latinoamerica 2022.
Schedule
- Opening: January 29th to March 17th, 2022
- Playoffs March 18th to April 16th, 2022
Format
LLA Opening 2022 Format
The championship is relatively similar to other League of Legends Leagues (TCL, LCK, CBLOL). The Group Stage that started in January is a double round-robin. The matches of the LLA Opening group stage are Bo1. The top 6 teams advance to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs have a double elimination bracket and Bo5 matches. The winner of the Playoffs qualifies to the Mid-Season Invitational 2022.
Prize Pool
The total prize pool for the Playoffs of the LLA Opening is $53,500. The first placed team gets $30,000, the second one $15,000 and the third place only $5,000. The first place will also get the chance to play and win the Mid-Season Invitational 2022.

Previous Winners
Team Aze won the LLA Opening 2022 championship and qualified for the MSI 2022. Last year’s winner for the LLA Closing and Opening Playoffs was Infinity.
