Complexity Gaming a.k.a. COL is an American eSports organization that currently fields teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, Apex Legends, FIFA, DOTA and other games.
Their sponsors are big names in the eSports, such as We Are Nations, GameStop, Twitch, WinStar, Miller Lite, Extra Life, Herman Miller.
Complexity Gaming was founded in 2003 by Jason “1” Lake, so is one of the most long-standing and respected eSports teams in North America. Its Counter-Strike scene was first fielding a Counter-Strike team as early as 2004.
The organization won a lot of tournaments. On the CS: Go stage they won: BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals, ESWC 2005, IEM V American Championship Finals and many more. In DOTA they managed to win The Defense Season 2 in 2012 and Dota 2 Canada Cup – Season 6 in 2016.
August 2014, come with a big announcement from COL: their return in Dota 2 by signing a former Heroes of Newert team. The team dominated the International 2015 American Qualifiers but finished on 9-12th place, after a promising 3rd place group stage finish. They failed to qualified for the Frankfurt Major in 2015 and failed to make it out of the Wildcards at The International 2016. Their last major game was in 2017 at the StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 3 where they finished in 3rd-4th place.
