Overview
Ninjas in Pyjamas, abbreviated NiP, is a Swedish esports organization, founded in 2000 that gained worldwide renown for the amazing results of its CSGO team. Ninjas in Pyjamas expanded their presence on the esports scene throughout the years and today, beside a CSGO roster its organization contains several other teams: Dota 2, Rainbow 6, PUBG and Paladins.
Tommy “Potti” Ingemarsson and Tootzi formed Ninjas in Pyjamas almost 20 years ago as a LAN-based Counter Strike clan. The initial team competed in the CS 1.6 for almost 7 years after which they disbanded. They returned in 2012 as a CSGO team and in the following years started acquiring new rosters and even launched their own gaming peripheral company, Xtrfy.
NiP is also active in the space of education within the esports industry through several initiatives, some in collaboration with the Swedish government. Additionally, Ninjas in Pyjamas is also a founding member of the World Esports Association (WESA).
