North Overview
North has announced its closure through a press release posted on the official Football Club Copenhagen (FCK) on February 5th 2021
North is a Danish esports organization founded in 2017 by FC Copenhagen and the region’s biggest media company – Nordisk Film. Focused on Counter Strike GO, the organization quickly grew to become one of the top 10 CSGO teams in the world.
Its biggest achievements are tied to DreamHack tournaments, North winning the DreamHack Open Montreal 2017 and 2018’s DreamHack Opens in Tours and Valencia and the Masters in Stockholm. In 2019 North only managed to win one major tournament – the GG.Bet Ice Challenge and earn a 3rd spot in the ECS Season 7 Finals in London.
The organization includes a junior team, operating under the North Academy name.
