BLAST Premier 2021 Overview
BLAST Premier is back in 2021 with an updated schedule and a new take on the qualifying events.
As in its first iteration, this year’s event will be the longest of the CS:GO competitive year – starting in February and ending in December.
As a result of the new schedule, the 2021 season could see up to 286 matches take place across the calendar year.
BLAST Premier 2021 will have a combined prize money of $2,475,000.
Schedule
BLAST Premier 2021 will be split into two halves – the Spring and Fall Seasons, each with three major tournaments each. The tournament will conclude in December with the Global Final.

Format
Here’s what we know so far about the BLAST Premier 2021 format:
All matches will Best of 3 and that for the spring Groups, the event will be following a three double-elimination (GSL) format.
12 BLAST Premier Teams will automatically earn a place in the Fall and Spring Groups before progressing to the Showdown and Finals depending on performance and progression.
Each group has 4 teams with the top two teams from each group advance to the Spring Finals and the bottom two teams from each group advance to the Spring Showdown.
The format for the Showdown and Finals is not yet public.

The tournament will offer a total prize pool of $2,475,000 divided as follows:

Who’s participating this year?
In 2021 BLAST Premier will be open to any CS:GO team around the world not only to the Partner Teams.
For those of you who don’t remember, the BLAST Premier Member Teams are Astralis, NiP, G2 Esports, OG, Vitality, NAVI, FaZe Clan, Complexity, MiBR, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid
Teams to keep an eye on
If you’re looking to place some bets on the upcoming BLAST Premier Matches here’s a quick overview of some of the teams that won previous events
Team Vitality – they finished first in the 2020 Fall Final, defeating Astralis 2 to 1. The French team finished the Group stage in the 2nd place.
MiBR – the Brazilians are one of the best CS:GO teams of the moment and even though they didn’t managed to qualify for the 2020 Global final they still had a strong year, winning their Group Stage and finishing 2nd in the American Finals.
Astralis – the Danish team is on a roll after a fantastic run in the Intel Extreme Masters XV – Global Challenge 2020.
