LPL 2022 Overview
League of Legends Pro League (LPL 2022) is the top-level professional league for LOL in China.
In 2022, the League of Legends Professional League (LPL) will return to offline matches. Summoners can watch the game up close and cheer for the supporting teams and players!
On January 10th, the 2022 LPL Spring competition will officially open at the home of the LPL at Shanghai Hongqiao Tiandi Performing Arts Center.

LPL 2022 Format and Prize Pool
The regular season will continue to use the “ungrouped, single loop, BO3” competition system. The winner gets $314,472 and 90 points, second place team gets $157,236 and 70 points, and the third place gets $78,618 and 50 points.
Group stage is played as a single round-robin withBo3 matches. The top 10 teams will advance to the play-offs. The winner and the runner-up get seeded into the semifinals, 3-4 places get seeded into the last round of the play-offs. Teams on 5th and 6th place get seeded into the second round of play-offs, and the last 3 teams get seeded into the first round. If there is a tie, it will be broken firstly by games differentials and after, if necessary with the head-to-head results.
The playoff has three phases:
Phase One: King-of-the-Hill
The teams that were previously mentioned, to be seeded in the play-offs, will be divided into two brackets to play a King-of-the-Hill format. 3rd, 6th, 7th and 10th seed are in one bracket (the first bracket), the other 4 seeds are in the other bracket. The winners advance into Phase Two. The winner of one bracket will face the second seed team in Phase Two.
Phase Two: Double-Elimination
The four remaining teams play in a Double-Elimination format with Bo5 matches. The winners will qualify for the Mid Seasonal Invitatinal 2022.
