According to an article by Sports Business Journal, Brandon Snow, Head of Activision Blizzard Esports, will part ways with the company at the end of February. The company has to find another Head of ABE until March.
Brandon Snow worked as a part of Activision Blizzard since early 2018. His first position was Chief Revenue Officer for brand, media and esports partnerships after serving as NBA Senior VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations.
Snow got this function of Head of Esports in July 2021. His role was to take on oversight of the Overwatch League and Call of Duty League. He took over the work of his colleague, Johanna Faries, who started focusing exclusively on development of the next Call of Duty game. He is leaving after almost 4 years of working in the company, to pursue a new working opportunity.
Who will be the next Head of Esports at Activision Blizzard Esports after Snow?
Activision Blizzard started right away to find another passionate person for the role. In the meantime, Activision Blizzard Chief Administrative Office Brian Bulatao will be the one dealing with some of the many responsibilities the Head of Esports has to do.
He is consolidating the ABE leadership team with League Administration Matt Kliszewski, Global Brand Marketing Kristin Connelly and Head of Global Partnerships Jack Harari.
Head of OWL Sean Miller and GM of CoD Esports Daniel Tsay will lead day-to-day operations for the OWL and CDL, respectively, and will report to Kliszewski.
