The championship is going to happen without a live audience. Romania’s fast-growing Covid-19 number of cases led to local restrictions.
The International 2021 will begin as planned on October 7, and we look forward to welcoming the best Dota teams in the world to the stage and sharing the experience online with millions of fans around the world.
Valve in their lastest announcement

The event will have a live audience but all the participants must be fully vaccinated, masked, and have their green certificate.
The International 2021 brings us the most recent news from the Esports world. After the championship was supposed to take place in Sweden and then it was postponed due to Covid-19, Valve announced a new location last Wednesday.
The new location is the capital of Romania, Bucharest. The championship will be held inside the country’s largest stadium — Arena Națională.
The battle for the Aegis of Champions will roll on October 7 through the 10th.
After the Group Stage is finished, series of showdowns will be played on the Main Stage on October 12.
Then on October 17, the final battle will have two motivated Dota 2 teams that will try to win The International 2021. The prize pool of $40,018,195 is also a motivating factor for teams.
With a prize pool like this and a new location, we now have the right reason to wait for the summer to end and the fall to begin.
Even though we do not have that much information right now, we are waiting restively for the tickets to be released.
